Sacred Heart University

Sacred Heart is a Catholic university in Fairfield, Connecticut, founded in 1963, with roughly 90 programmes across six colleges and schools and an undergraduate body of around 6,800. Its defining characteristic for a Kazakh applicant is accessibility of entry rather than selectivity: it publishes twenty separate ways to satisfy the English requirement, including several that involve no external test at all, and it will admit provisionally a student who has no English score whatsoever, routing them through its own English Language Institute first. That is a genuinely different proposition from universities like Wentworth, which denies admission outright if proficiency evidence misses the deadline, or Emerson, which sets TOEFL at 95. Sacred Heart also runs campuses in Dingle, Ireland and in Luxembourg alongside Fairfield. Applicants may use either the Common Application or SHU's own international portal. Note that some graduate programmes impose band minimums that the undergraduate route does not.
