Seattle Pacific University

Seattle Pacific University is a private Christian university in Seattle, founded 1891 by Free Methodist pioneers, with roughly 4,000 undergraduate and graduate students. SPU describes itself as 'one of the nation's premier Christian universities', where students 'gain a superb education grounded on the gospel of Jesus Christ — and the tools to influence the world for good.' A Kazakh applicant should understand that the Christian character is central to SPU's stated mission rather than incidental, and should establish what that means in practice, including whether any faith commitment, chapel attendance or lifestyle expectation applies, before applying.
