KU is Kansas's flagship public research university at Lawrence, one of 38 public institutions in the Association of American Universities, offering 400-plus degree and certificate programmes across five campuses and home to over 1,600 international students from more than 100 countries. Its scholarship structure is unusually transparent: 'We're proud to offer freshman and transfer students a wide range of renewable institutional scholarships based on GPA alone. International students can earn up to USD 64,000 across their entire KU career.' Awards are banded purely by secondary school grade average, from KU Excellence at 3.95-4.00 down to KU Access at 3.25-3.49, with no test score, essay or interview involved. The deadline is 1 May for fall. One significant limit applies: KU states these renew 'for up to three years (six consecutive semesters)', not four.
