Ole Miss is Mississippi's public research university in Oxford, with a reported acceptance rate near 98% and rolling admissions producing a decision within a few weeks. Its international scholarship structure is automatic and substantial: admitted freshmen receive an award letter based on grade average with no separate form, with reported values from USD 3,900 to USD 23,454, and a published ACT/SAT grid adding further tiers from a minimum of a 3.0 grade average with ACT 24 or SAT 1160. Crucially, Ole Miss states that awards 'are generally credited towards non-resident fees and resident tuition fees', so they attack the out-of-state premium directly. The two automatic streams do not stack: 'Ole Miss activates whichever is higher.' A separate competitive scholarship application closes 10 January. International students pay an International Student Fee of USD 100 per semester.
