University of Nebraska at Omaha

UNO is a public research university in Omaha, distinct from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Its automatic international award is modest but has one unusual feature: it is 'renewable for five years or until you receive a bachelor's degree, whichever occurs first', a fifth year of cover where comparable awards cap at four. The UNO International Academic Excellence Scholarship 'funds partial tuition costs for awarded undergraduate students, starting at approximately USD 3,000 per year', with all newly admitted first-time and transfer undergraduates automatically considered after admission. Two limits are published: it applies to on-campus courses only, and it cannot be combined with other tuition-remission-based scholarships. College-specific departmental awards become available only once a student is enrolled.
