Utah State is Utah's public land-grant research university at Logan. Its automatic international award is small but has a clearly published threshold: 'New freshmen and transfer applicants with an evaluated minimum GPA of 3.85 are automatically considered for the Afton B. Tew International Student Scholarship. This scholarship will provide USD 1,000 of non-resident international tuition per year.' Beyond that, USU routes students to a single general scholarship application covering 'USU scholarships, Private, Community, and Corporate scholarships, as well as College, Department, Major and Campus specific scholarships', one form for everything. USU also issues an unusually blunt warning on financial documents: falsified documents result in denial of the I-20 and may see admission revoked.
