Wofford College

Wofford is a Methodist liberal arts college in Spartanburg, South Carolina, on a 175-acre campus with roughly 1,800 undergraduates and a Division I athletics programme. Its application is free and it does not offer a CSS Profile waiver. Wofford states both facts together, the point being that no fee waiver is needed because nothing is charged for the application itself. Published merit scholarships for international applicants range from USD 15,000 to USD 30,000. One condition is worth planning around early: 'In order to have on campus interviews for scholarships, the applicant will need to have taken and submitted their SAT or ACT scores.' A Kazakh applicant hoping to compete for the larger awards should therefore sit an admissions test. Wofford also provides a USD 3,000 allowance to every student studying abroad for a full semester.
